For a sustainable and fair future:
Our mission and values
Our mission is to raise awareness of fair working conditions and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. We work closely with our production facilities to achieve these goals and are happy to share our knowledge with our long-standing partners.
Certifications of our products and long-term cooperations are of central importance to us.
We are proud to be committed to reducing our environmental impact and promoting fair working conditions. By using sustainable materials and environmentally friendly production processes, we minimize the ecological footprint of our products. At the same time, we actively promote fair working conditions in our production facilities by ensuring fair wages and safe working environments.
We are convinced that sustainable and fair production benefits not only the environment, but also society and the economy.

Inspired by the world around us
Our employees share the same passion as our customers — the desire for foreign cultures and the need to travel the world.
Our products are inspired by the colors, patterns, impressions, and rituals of other cultures and bring the vastness of the world directly to our customers' homes.

Authentic products & transparent production
It is important to us that our customers not only purchase a product, but also become part of our philosophy.
We want them to identify with our values and be proud to be part of our community.

Responsibility for people and nature
It is precisely through the close exchange with our suppliers around the world and the insights we gain from working far away from tourist areas that we are very aware of our responsibility towards our fellow human beings and our environment.
We treat our planet's resources as carefully as possible and ensure fair working conditions for everyone involved.

Tranquillo in the world
We are proud that over the years we have succeeded in establishing a long-term perspective and a trust-based collaboration.
"We are delighted with the great feedback from our customers and hope that we can continue to develop a more environmentally conscious lifestyle together."

It should remain colorful. And fair, too.
Back in the day, TRANQUILLO was a small shop in Dresden's Neustadt district, where you could find cheerful knick-knacks from all over the world, colorful fleece jackets, and long velvet robes. You could also browse for unusual items waiting on the racks for their new owners. In addition to special fashion, the TRANQUILLO store has always offered all sorts of little gifts for loved ones. Anyone who approached the shop could smell it from afar, as countless incense sticks were lined up in the front area, giving you a bit of an oriental bazaar feel.
That was nice! But from time to time, things needed to change. It needed to stay colorful and fair, too. But perhaps one day we could even produce our own clothing fairly from ecologically sound materials? These thoughts drove Christian Amthor and Michael Kremer, who have run TRANQUILLO together since 2002. The two could hardly be more different, but they shared their enthusiasm for promoting new ideas—and both often look with a wink at "the things that have always been this way."
Once Christian and Micha have set their minds on something, the goal is clear – but the path can be colorfully designed – just like TRANQUILLO.
